it is really bad when i enter the search "971-" -without filling in the rest of the number and the number "971-220-1262" pops up about 2nd or third. on the list. i did not answer and i blocked this caller.
I put something called Mr. Number on my Android phone recently. With it I can classify a call like this one as a spammer, send it to voice mail without ringing or block it completely. It does the best job of anything I have seen in eliminating the disturbance from unwanted calls to my cell phone.
I got a call from this number and entertained doing the survey to see what it would ask and when I supposedly won the cruise, I asked the person on the other end how the company got my number. She said the call was totally random and could not answer how she got my number. She tried to tell me about winning the cruise and I told her I didn't want the cruise because I was uncomfortable giving out information if she couldn't tell me how they got my number. Finally I told her I was hanging up and did so.
Is it spam? Not sure. But it is shady and that is not good.
