Just got a call from theis number 971 220 1894, she asked me by name, then asked if I was a US citizen, I said no, then she said the offer was only for US citizens, so if you don't want them to call, you could say that and they will not provide you with the offer. I also applied for a couple of jobs, so this is probably where they are getting their info from.
this phone number is connected to a phone company that seeks out "unused" cell numbers. If they get an answer or voicemail/etc., they move on. However, they will keep trying. Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile need numbers... AT&T, etc... and companies like this Oregon one keep searching via auto dial computers. Wish we could cut their 'cord'.
I applied for a job on vancouverjobshop.ca and within seconds i got a call from this number.
I find it interesting as well that after I applied there was an ad for continuing my education-from a nondescript institution. Coincidence? I think not. I'm pretty pissed right now.
I filed a complain with the Canadian NDNCL as im on the do not call list.
so a canadian company is selling contact info from people looking for work. will have the company of name shortly. i only used 1 site to look for a other employment opportunities so it won"t take long ,stay tuned.
I think they got my # when I applied for a job on-line. The site asked me if I wanted info about higher education and I checked the no box...they probably gave my private info away anyway.
