Got a call from a Kevin Williams then transferred to Mark Holman. Told me congratulations for something that I couldn't understand. They said something about me purchasing something from Walmart or Walgreens but I asked for a number to call them back at and they gave me 971-259-3458. I told them I would have someone call them back since the it should up on my cell as a private number.
I've had several call from this number and don't pick up. When I call back I always get a busy signal. In the last 2 days I've had 6 missed calls from this number!!!
I too have received multiple calls. At one time I was asked to verify the last 4 digits of my SS#. I gave them the last 4 #'s of my childhood phone #. NOW when they call and rattle off those 4 digits I know it's a scam. One guy got so angry with me he literally yelled and cursed at me over the phone.
Here is the method I use to get rid of these types of calls:
Me: Hello?
Them: Blah, blah, blah, blah
Me: Give me one sec, please... Hold phone away a bit BUT make sure it is close enough for the person on the other line to hear... "Special Agent Morris? They are on the line, should I try and keep them talking?"
Odd, when I get back on the line, they aren't there anymore...
