Recorded message says they are a company who can lower your credit card interest rate if you have total credit card debt of at least $3000. Total scam. Person hung up on me when I informed him that I was on "do not call" list.
Since there seems to be a consensus that the do not call list is a useless government sham that wastes our tax dollars and achieves nothing; there are two ways to strike back:
1. is to get a live person on the line; then go along with whatever their spiel happens to be. Act like you're extremely interested and that you're glad they called. Ask plenty of questions without giving any specific info for yourself. After you grow tired of the act, tell them point blank that you have absolutely no interest and you only chatted them up to waste their time.
2. Get someone on the line and tell them that they are parasites and that they should go hang themselves
here is a list of hang up or no message calls I have gotten in the last three days, I just don't answer any 866 # anymore let the recorder get it, I also pay for call blocker , have my phone registered with the do not call list .and I still get these , best thing I can say is if you don't know who the caller is jsut let it ring
