Thank goodness for caller ID. If I don't recognize a name or number, I don't answer or pick up. Maybe we should all be happy with fewer contacts-those that we know.
Received a call from 971-373-2989 and they told me that they got my information from Experian when I asked. They were working for Visa, Master Card, Discover etc...
They want to lower my credit card rate. They wanted to know what bank my credit card was with. I think this group is a front for a terrorist group and they are trying to steal credit card information.
When I asked for their company mailing address, she said "no problem" and then she hung up on me.
When they call, keep them on the telephone, give them lots of bogus information. Like you owe lots of money, tell them a different name when they mention your name because you just got this new telephone number. Keep them on the phone for a long as possible. Start asking lots of questions, such as how many credit cards you can reduce. Never give them any real information. Remember, never give your real information to anyone who calls you.
Took the bait and pushed 1 for a specialist to help me reduce my credit card rates. Didn't care about the rates but spoke to Joseph who said he'd remove me from this list. He said he'd do it for me since I sounded "like a cutie." However, to be removed, I needed to go online at the same time he was and push the button "at the same time" to be removed. Seemed fishy but I really wanted to get off this list. I booted up my computer and asked for the URL. The URL he gave me was a MILF porn site. I explained that to him and he said, "oops, sorry, must've been in my email." I asked him to forward me to his supervisor. He tried and supposedly didn't know how to transfer. He then came back to the phone and said I was all set and removed which I think was BS. What a creepy slimy rep. I called the number back, got an automated response, and pressed 1 to be removed from the list. The world is truly full of huge losers.
