They call all day long and almost never leave a message. When they do they just yell my name over and over on my cell phone voice mail asking if Ii'm there and to pick up. They never say who they are.
If they are a debt collector, it is illegal for them to call that early or that late. You might mention when they call that they are violating the law, and that you are keeping records of the times of their calls and reporting them to the Federal government.
OK this is really a simple answer to a simple question. Do you pay your bills? Yes, or no? if the answer is Yes, then you have nothing to worry about, but if you are suspcious then go to annualcreditreport.com and obtain your free credit report from all three bureaus( you are allowed a free one from all three once per year). Then you will know. Obviously, this is a scam because they do not leave a voicemail, they call at all hours of the day, and those of you who are STUPID enough to pick up have just given them a reason to call you back to try to get you to pay for a debt that isn't yours. You can report it to whomever you want to, but by the time they do anyting about it, the number will be disconnected and they will have moved on to a new number doing the same thing. Tired of hearing the phone ring at all hourse of the day? THIS IS WHY THEY HAVE A RINGER OFF BUTTON ON THE PHONE. YOU SIMPLY PRESS THE BUTTON AND YOU DONT HAVE TO HEAR THE PHONE RING. SO SIMPLE, A SMURF COULD DO IT! I would assume that this being 2016 that most people have opted for caller ID, so all you have to do is look to see who is calling you and then you will know. If you dont know the nubmer dont pick up. If they do not leave you a message, there is your answer. THE SAME WITH YOUR CELL PHONE. THERE IS A VIBRATE OPTION ON YOUR PHONE, SO YOU DONT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT HEARING IT RING. YOU CAN TURN THAT OFF TOO, SO IT WILL JUST RING AND YOU DONT HAVE TO HEAR THE VIBRATIONS IF YOU DONT WANT TO.. ITS CALLED SILENT. If you do have a debt, there will be a notice sent to you in the mail. C'MON PEOPLE, USE YOUR BRAIN!!!! They are looking for anyone dumb enough to fall their scam!! THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO SCAMMERS! WHY DO YOU THINK THEY HAVE SO MANY NUMBERS? How do you pay your bills? Do you pay them online? Do you recieve a statment in the mail and pay it by mail? If you are able to pay your bill in the store, do you do that? If you have answered Yes to any one of those questions, then if you did have some kind of debt... then why woudl they be calling you AT ALL HOURS OF THE DAY WHEN THEY CAN SEND YOU A NOTIFICATION IN THE MAIL??? REALLY PEOPLE!!! THINK ABOUT IT.. DONT PICK UP YOUR PHONE!!! I am trying to figure out why this is so hard for people to grasp the concept.
I am just trying to figure out why no one really gets it. I get these calls on my cell phone, while I am at work,and my phone is on silent. I see the number and I dont know it, so I go back to work. There are probably over a dozen or so numbers that have called, and I dont pick up. I haven't received anything in the mail, so I know that it is a scam. I am not about to pick up the phone to let them know that there is a person on the other end, let alone give them any information. i just dont pick it up.
