This is an Irving, TX number, local for us. It is one of several numbers used by robo callers under the guise of the 972-253- area and prefix. The last four digits are randomly changed but the area and prefix remain. Our guess is that the genius behind this system wants us to think the calls are coming from friends and neighbors in our own city. Like all robo calls, a message is never left.
This call comes in regularly. They never leave a message and when I answer there is never anyone on the other end. Makes me think its one of those automated dialers. they have called three times today! I want my number off their list, please.
I have been getting these calls since 7-14-15, they call and when you answer they hang up. Other numbers they call from are 972-253-6101 & 972-253-4801 and the first one 972-253-5102. I finally made someone so mad last night he finally said where he was calling "Athens Lions Club". I called Athens L.C and they knew nothing and suggested I call the local or in my case the county sheriff. The sheriff told me about this site. So y'all keep track of time and ph# and call your local sheriff so maybe they can get this harassment stopped.
Suzy Maupin, the only thing you can do is block their ph #. I contacted the county sheriff in my area and he is looking into it. I also contacted Athens Lions Club, spoke with Christina and they knew nothing about this. Best of luck to you, I also get the calls every night, have been blocking them.
