Before you go calling someone stupid, you should look in the mirror, since you write like someone who has maybe a 1st grade education.
1. What is the name of this "app"? You seem to know quite a bit about it, I would think that since you are so "smart" you would know the name of it.
2. How do you know anyone here has bad credit or owes money? Furthermore, it would be completely illegal for a debt collector to put anything on a phone and listen in to the conversation without a court order "wiretap" warrant. They are private citizens, not the NSA which is a government organization. 3. Telling them that you are broke is not a defence to an attempt to collect a debt. A debt validation is however a good start. So if you do talk to them within 5 days of that first conversation they must send you a letter with their name, physical address, phone number, the amount of the alleged debt, and the creditor's name as well as your legal right to dispute the debt within 30 days of the letter. This is required by law, so if they fail to send the letter out then you know right from the start that they are criminals attempting to extort money.
