Who called from 9723721723

no calls have been made to my phone since i contacted the number listed.

called at 1915 on Wednesday 30 Jan 08 and asked that they stop calling. said would put me on no call list within 72 hours.

Last night I received two calls from the 972-372-1723 number. It seems that they have not solved the problem yet. If there is a class action suit, count me in. This is certainly harassment and inexcusable. I called the 800 number that AZ provided and gave a report. Yes, they acknowledged the issue. However, to have this problem for 4 months and not fix it shows terrible neglect and a lack of consideration for the people they harass. People should not have to call them. They should FIX IT!

Actually, it was a total of 4 calls. Two of them I missed. Two of them I received. All of them were around 9:30 PM EST. Since that is a time when only close friends or family call, I thought it was strange to receive an unknown call. That is why I looked it up.

I've also been recieving these calls.  I too live in Canada and don't know why OnStar would call me, especially since I don't USE OnStar!  Found that the call was coming from Texas and they've been calling me several times a day.....usually one call right after the other, leaving voice mail messages both times with nothing but a tone, which I assume is coming from a fax line.  I don't need to be wasting my billable air time with this crap, and I don't need my wife or children woke up in the middle of the night because my cell phone starts going off for this junk.  Just called my cell provider which is Bell Canada, asked them about the OnStar calls, which perked their ears a bit because OnStar uses Bell as their call provider.  Odd, because they STILL couldn't block the number.  Anyway, just got off the phone with OnStar at 1-877-805-9074, told them about the calls from that number, and they were apologizing before I could finish explaining the problem.  They're obviously aware.  The operator told me that the calls would stop within 72 hours, so here's hoping!!!!!!  Anyway, for those having this problem, call the number and try.....should help.  And if there's a class action, count me in, because I have a sneaky suspicion that these calls might be due to cell phone companies giving out our numbers without our permission, possibly with the intention of these calls adding to our billable air time, which could earn them millions!  If that's the case, let's take that money BACK!!!
