Claimed they were Tech Support and that we had a problem with our computer. This scam was identified on our local news in Toronto. They put you on a website, gain access to your machine, put on a virus and then charge you to get it off. Also other scam is that you give them remote access and they steal personal info from your machine. They also can put on keyloggers in order to access your on-line banking etc. They got frustrated and hung on when I kept asking them questions.
Received a call form this number on my cellphone stating they were with the IRS and to call them back at 202-864-1240. Called the number from another phone and they hung up.
Keep getting a call from this number with a recorded message saying hello this is IRS we've been trying to reach you to collect back owed taxes. The caller is calling from a payphone and I get a call everyday usually between 2:00 to 3:00 pm. What is going on?
This number called me twice this week saying this is final notice from IRS and it's filing a lawsuit against me, and asked me to call back 202-864-1675 for details. Really annoying.
Just received a call from this number, recorded message stating that an IRS is filing a lawsuit against us and we need to call back. Didn't get a callback number. I wish I did, because I'd like to call back and let them know how I really feel about these f$@#ing a$$holes scammers. I feel back for the elderly and more goluble people they target.
