Yes, this is Chase. I told them I would call back, and indeed, after calling the number on back of my Credit Card, they verified that they had called asking about an issue with my Chase credit card. So, it is legitimate...but, the scammers can now spoof numbers, so I would always call back
Received a call from this # this morning. My call blocker flagged it as possible spam but I answered anyway. Lady said she was calling from Chase fraud department. Was skeptical but continued to talk to her. Turns out someone was trying to use my credit card to make purchases at about 20 different sites online yesterday, After I hung up I called the 800 number on the back of my card and verified the phone call.
Just clef at like 10:58am. Some lady was asking for a man. When I said she had the wrong #....she asked for my name. I informed her that she called my phone asking for a man so my name was irrelevant. She got all pissed at me so I hung up...
The caller is Chase fraud prevention services, although the caller ID did not say so. I'm glad I googled the number and called back, because someone tried to make a fraudulent charge on one of my cards...yikes. Even if you don't have a Chase account, it may be worth calling them back, because someone may have tried to open a card in your name.
