I just got a call and they asked me if i was going to be home but i told them this was a new cell. I guess when you use the internet and use your info it is up for grabs to anyone SCARY
PEOPLE- These $cum bags are illegal scammers. DO NOT believe a word they say, in fact, have fun with them, it annoys them more than anything. DO NOT let them ruin your day. My other favorite question is to ask them if their mother knows that they steal from people for a living. For some reason that "question" crosses the line, but their federally ILLEGAL phone calls do not! Laugh at them and have fun knowing their are an illegal scam.
They've been calling me and my husband for months saying someone was coming to serve us the next day. Still waiting. Hahahaha. I've told this idiot repeatedly we filed bankruptcy and to call my attorney. One time he called me at work (I am in law enforcement) and said they were disputing the bankruptcy and would be serving me with papers in my local court. I asked what court he didn't know. I said you have to dispute through Federal Bankruptcy court and he said no I don't I can cancel your bankruptcy in your local court. What a moron, obviously he doesn't have a clue about Federal bankruptcy law. Don't pay these scam artists. I always ask what time the process server will be here so I can be home. This jerk eventually gets mad and hangs up on me. My husband told him yesterday he needs to get a real job and quit ripping people off. I love when we turn the tables and make them hang up on us.
Scavenger Collection Company. They will not leave message and when you immediately try to call them, there is no answer. DO NOT give them any information. Most of these companies will scare you telling you there are serving you papers tomorrow and will you be home? Tell them you'd love to see the papers so you can have evidence for court and see what they say. Most of the time, they will try to tell you to call another number to verify your address and date and time for the papers to be served. Advise them anytime is fine and you want the papers and you are not calling anyone.
