This number called me but it came up as 1-212 on the caller ID. He said he was calling on behalf of Microsoft. I asked the name of the company and he said it was called "I-squared" in Dallas, Texas. I asked how he got my phone number--he said it was provided by Microsoft which seems very unlikely. After explaining that I didn't have a home computer, and that I worked for the government, he hung up.
My parents got this "Microsoft" call also. The caller said his name was James Minosa, and his supervisor's name was Mack T. He tried to convince my mother her computer was downloading a virus at that moment, and "Microsoft caught it." After his pushy banter she hung up, and he called her back! She hung up again and he called her back again! The call is from a home in the Dallas area. Where's a Smart bomb when you need it! Damned [***].

Just received call from this number. Caller said he was Adam Harris from Window Tech Dept from the Microsoft Web Server with his office in Florida near Cocoa Beach. He said that the computer at our location was sending some error message to their office and he told me he could guide me to see the message that was sent to their office. Caller ID was telling me that the call was coming from Virginia! I just hung up.
