This number called me but it came up as 1-212 on the caller ID. He said he was calling on behalf of Microsoft. I asked the name of the company and he said it was called "I-squared" in Dallas, Texas. I asked how he got my phone number--he said it was provided by Microsoft which seems very unlikely. After explaining that I didn't have a home computer, and that I worked for the government, he hung up.
they are really very helpfulll..my computer was in a very critical condition and it was going to crash but somehow they saved my computer by fixing it...and that call is made from internet i asked them
My question is how much did they charge you or attempt to charge you? They wanted $49.99 per computer, every 6 months from me. Also what they tried to tell me was "Viruses" (svchost.exe files) are actually legitimate processes from Microsoft and NOT viruses.
"Hi this is officer Mitchell Jones and I am calling you from the legal affairs of the US treasury department. My badge number is 7185. The nature and the purpose of this call is regarding an enforcement action which is being executed by the US treasury department regarding a tax fraud against your name. Ignoring this will be an intentional attempt to avoid an initial appearance for a magistrate judge for a grand jury for a federal criminal offense. So before this matter goes to the federal claims court house before you get arrested. Kindly call us back on our number as soon as possible. The number to reach us is 972-591-8183. Let me repeat the number it is 972-591-8183. Hope to hear from you soon before the charges are pressed against you. Thanks."
They left a message. They switched from computers. Now we got a warning that if we didn't call back we would be risking some kind of federal offense relating to tax fraud. We could be arrested and hauled in front of a Federal grand jury. OMG!!
Got a VERY threatening call from this number regarding tax issues, that if ignored, would result in my appearance before a magistrate, or my arrest. Scam. Beware!
