Same as other reports. Called my mother in law. She fell for the scam, allowed them access to the computer, and now reports the computer runs slowly.I don't know what they did to her computer - investigating today. Does anyone know how to revoke their remote access?
Same thing as everyone else is saying below. Its a SCAM. Hang up. Go on with what you are doing. My call was from Jim John, very heavy accent. Very loud background noise. Hard to hear. Gave the 972-591-8270 call back number. I had no intention of calling it. Googled it instead. And hear I am at this blog. Enough said.
Just received a call, the only number that showed up was a 1. She said her name was Amy Hall and she was from the I Fix Web Solutions. I asked what city she was calling from and said McKinney, Texas and gave me the number 972-591-8270 to call her back. Was pretty persistent about me going to my computer so she could help me with the viruses. Told her not to contact me again or I would contact the BBB.
