After an initial silence on the other end, the caller asked for me by name, at first I didn't answer and she said it a different way, and I said, "maybe, who is this?" She responded with the name Jane and she was calling about security system. I asked what her full name was and what company she represented, she said her name was Jane Williams (I don't believe it, she had an accent) and she left the line. After a few seconds I hung up. I was not going to say "yes" to anyone I don't know over the phone. Solicitor call.
Local call (did not know how to pronounce my name correctly) said that they were from Honeywell and that I was using an out of date control panel for my honeywell security system. So I said "Hello" again. She asked if I had a Honeywell security system. I responded "Hello". She said "Can you hear me?" I said "Hello". She said she would be calling me back. I said "Hello"
Before she hung up on me, she said she will be calling me every minute of every day. LOL
BTW, I do not have a Honewell security system.
BLOCKED
So glad I bought a call blocker. I definitely don't answer numbers with their id showing as some long trailing letter with numbers. This has to be some type of code in my opinion that is a call coming from over seas being attached to a local number that makes you think it is a local number when it isn't. My machine blocked it temporary, then I go to my blocker machine and punch it in to be permanently blocked. Awesome machine!
