After an initial silence on the other end, the caller asked for me by name, at first I didn't answer and she said it a different way, and I said, "maybe, who is this?" She responded with the name Jane and she was calling about security system. I asked what her full name was and what company she represented, she said her name was Jane Williams (I don't believe it, she had an accent) and she left the line. After a few seconds I hung up. I was not going to say "yes" to anyone I don't know over the phone. Solicitor call.
Caller ID said Out of Area so I didn't answer. There was a 3 second long voicemail recording of what sounded like a crowded room so assume it was a call center of some sort.
I have gotten a call from 972-597-5019 for it seems like---forever. The local police in my town said people who call with such long id numbers & using letters, are your basic scammers, crooks etc wanting to steal your identity. Don't give out any information. This number has called with different id's but using this same phone number. The id's show V50518372100023 & V50510325300018. I have been told that the numbers after the zero's are how many times these people have called using this id letters/numbers. So you can see they have called me 18 times on one id & 23 on another id but using the same phone number they have called me 41 times total. I have no idea who this person is. I have a call blocker but even with that, the phone has to ring once each time a blocked call comes in so the machine recognizes it as either a blocked call or a number that is allowed to ring through. But at least when it rings only once, I know I don't have to answer the call. I still have to check when I have time on the one ring calls to see if it is a new blocked call coming in that is temporary blocked so I can permanently block it. I just wished the blocked calls didn't ring at all & would disconnect them when they call.
this number has been calling for months now. they never leave a message... just dead air if you ansiwer.
I think they are just a "feeler" caller that if you answer they now consider you a live one and seel your number to other low life scum
Called this morning, wanted to let us know that our truck 20XX Dodge XXXXX warranty has expired. Wanted to know if we still owned it. Told them it was my husband's truck and hung up.
For months, they have been calling saying that it was time to upgrade my honeywell home security system. Now, they call and say, "You're warranty on a 2015 Honda has expired or is about to expire." As I have told them them the past 15 times, I do NOT own a 2015 Honda and even if I did, I DO NOT PURCHASE WARRANTY PROGRAMS FROM [***] HOLES WHO CALL ME ON THE PHONE.
