After an initial silence on the other end, the caller asked for me by name, at first I didn't answer and she said it a different way, and I said, "maybe, who is this?" She responded with the name Jane and she was calling about security system. I asked what her full name was and what company she represented, she said her name was Jane Williams (I don't believe it, she had an accent) and she left the line. After a few seconds I hung up. I was not going to say "yes" to anyone I don't know over the phone. Solicitor call.
Maybe "Same Story" is like me, and wants to try to coerce so information out of them so he can report it to the FTC and maybe get them shut down?
In my case it as was a live call (odd these days) about some kind of financial thing for senior home owners. I blew it when I gave out an age, since it wasn't old enough to qualify, so they hung up on me. Maybe they will call back and I'll have another shot at getting some info out of them.
