This is real collection company. They asked to verify certain information so they new i was the correct person to be talking to. But yes this phone number is 100% real and i suggest to anyone who doesnt want to ruin their credit to listen to what they have to say. peace out!!!
So I received another call via call-waiting from this 972-655-0117 idiots a little while after posting here. Soooo, I called the number back, and after telling the computer that I speak ENGLISH, because after all this WAS America once upon a time. A female comes on and says CTI Card. I ask WHY the hell do you keep calling me 8 times a day and always hang up when it is answered? Her reply was that my number wasn't in their data base? HUH? I told her that I know the number is an unpublished Irvine TX. number, she immediately replied that she works for CTI Banks "Gas and Credit Card Division". (We all know legitimate Businesses have listed numbers) After some back and forth blah blah, I told her I was a lawyer (I'm not)and am recording the call for future legal action and have orderd my phone carrier to use the call trace service, she immediately hung up on me. CTI is (NOT) the well known CiTi Bank.
They are are not a scam. Citi "group" is the backer of many different credit cards. If they are calling you, you slipped on a payment as I did. They are very friendly and helpful. I noticed the calls on my caller ID and called them back in intrest. No I dont work for them, my account to a local jeweler is backed by them.
And NO they are NOT a collection agency. If you deal with them, you are fine. If it goes to collection you will have an issue.
Reading these "who called me" sites are such a joke. If they are calling you you owe them money. OR they have a wrong number. Most the people here just flip out on all this, its just a phone call, not the end of the world.
This is a real company. They handle lots of store credit cards. It isn't collections, just a placement agency that handles past due accounts. They did not need me to verify anything, just told me that a card I held was past due.
My 87 year old mother is getting 7 or 8 calls per day from this number. It is driving her crazy. She does not, nor has she ever, had a credit card. How do you get these calls to stop? We are "Fed-up".
