The fact that it's NOT a criminal offense at all and this is a scammer trying to scare you into paying? Anything to do with the Treasury or IRS is CIVIL, not CRIMINAL
I got the same message. They want me to pay up. "Please, help us help you before it's too late..." just garbage. The sad thing is there are probably people who fall for this. Caller ID said: Belle Fourch, SD the number they gave was 972-666-8436
Got the same call and b.s. Message left on the answering machine this morning on my VOIP line.Just so everyone understands, this is a SCAM call. Do not call back or ever give them any personal information. Regarding reporting these calls to a government agency, you can but do not expect any follow up from your complaint.
What I want is a solution that would allow these calls to be blocked without having to purchase a seperate call blocking device, and a way to shut down the offending callers number immediately and permanently.
