Stated he was from the IRS collection agent. I told him if he want to speak to someone I would give him my attorney number and he could call them. He got angry and hung up.
Stated they were an IRS Collection Agent and received a threatening voicemail message stating I needed to call them back ASAP to avoid arrest due to tax fraud issues.
Received a recorded message saying that they were from the IRS and I had a warrant for my arrest, and to call them immediately to avoid being arrested.
Have received multiple calls from this number claiming to be from the IRS. If you have ever dealt with the IRS, they don't contact you in this manner. You can't call and tell them to take you off their calling list because no one will answer!!! For the Love of God, I wish all of these spam callers could be banned! I'm on the verge of changing a number I've had for 5 years because I can't take it anymore!
I just got a voicemail from this number telling me there has been a tax warrant issued for my arrest because I intentionally defrauded the IRS in 2010 & 2011 and the caller "Phil" from Afghanistan or somewhere in that general area said that he was just letting me know so that I'm not alarmed when the cop shows up to arrest me. I was at work sitting in my car when I was talking to "Phil" and as he was saying this a cop pulled in the parking lot.... so I snuck back in the building and googled the number and found this... I think the cop was a coincidence... a very scary one but none the less scary enough. The problem is, the building that my department works in is separate from the rest of my corporate office and my work address is still the other building, had they gone to the other building I would have been notified by the receptionist who would have been the one to talk to the cop had he gone there because I work in a secure building where you have to have an access code to get in. So now that I know all of this AND the fact that I have NEVER defrauded the government on my taxes, this is absolutely harassment to the extreme! This has got to be illegal... for them to pose as the IRS and threaten that you are going to be arrested!!
