Have received multiple calls from this number claiming to be from the IRS. If you have ever dealt with the IRS, they don't contact you in this manner. You can't call and tell them to take you off their calling list because no one will answer!!! For the Love of God, I wish all of these spam callers could be banned! I'm on the verge of changing a number I've had for 5 years because I can't take it anymore!
Received a call from this number stating it was the United States Treasury, and they were calling from the fraud department and that I needed to give them a call before I was arrested or prosecuted really that's not how things work first of all you're from a local number with some BS please get a life.
Received a message just now from these people and I am not going to call them back because the IRS will never contact you via phone it always be through the mail. These people try to trick you into giving them personal information and you call the number back and it's routed over seas then you get a large phone bill. Never call these people back it's a scam.
A man by the name of "jack lewis" refused to get a superviser on the line for me and told me to get a lawyer because I was going to jail for up to 19 months. He also said that my "tax fraud" occurred in the years 2010 and 2011. He had all my information such as social, address, and obviously my phone number. Told me 2 officers have already come to my residence and left their calling card, but then said they wouldn't send anything in the mail because of the nature of the issue.
The IRS does not need to sue anyone. They send you first class letters delivered by the Post Office. Several of them. Ignore those, and they then send certified letters that you need to sign for. Again delivered by the Post Office. Ignore those and they simply freeze your bank accounts and anything else you own. If they can do that, then why would they bother with a court case that might take them years before they get in front of a judge? They also do not bother arresting people for a few thousand dollars for the same reasons I have already given.

I also received a harassing voicemail saying I initially defrauded the IRS in 2010-2011 in wich I know I didn't. He gave a name and a title as an officer and a badge # he threatened me that I had a federal warrant for my arrest and I should get a lawyer. Really people we are not standing for this harassment anymore.
