Holy cow. I just responded to a post that is over a year old.. I'M SORRY! I also eat popcorn in bed, phart in church, howl at the moon, chase diesel trucks and love facially challenged girls under 65. Actually that last one was a lie. Nice legs and I can do 80.
Don't judge me. ;)
just got off the phone with an abusive foulmouthed skank who tried to shout me down when I told her that I didn't want to receive their calls, that they were violating the national do not call status of my number. The same cretin who called before and tried to sell me a warranty on my car which is still under warranty. She should trade up-- like maybe to streetwalking, or stripping. She seems to have all the intelligence and skills required for those....
I called back and got the same two choices, 1 to get warranty or 2 to decline. I called multiple times and did both. 1 transfers you to a voicemail. I left a message about my Do Not call registry status that has been in effect since the service started. When I chose 2 it hung up on me. Then I dialed 0188,0189,0186,0185,0184 all calls were answered by different people and they stated they were with Boost Mobile. One guy said he was at the retail store and advised I would have to call customer support. I asked for the website. He said boostmobile.com. I haven't checked it out yet, but I plan too. What's interesting is I have my phone set to block calls without the name of the caller id. They got creative and put Plano, Tezas in the name slot. I confirmed that the block was working by dialing *67 and my home number and it advised me that the number was not accepting calls without id. These jerks have the numbers stored in an auto dialect that hangs uo if it gets a voicemail recording and then it repeatedly dials at least 7-10 times over and over. My voicemail picks it uo as. Message, but they are all blank, no sound. It's frustrating because I have my vonage calls setup to send me a text message of the voicemail as well as the .wav file. I've reported to the FTC. I don't think that the FTC reacts quickly because I've reported text solicitations ad other numbers calling like this and some just keep coming for months.
I was away from home to find this number and a message light flashing on my phone. They apparently left dead air time equal to 10 minutes on my answering machine. I hope they do call back. I usually tell them I am busy at the moment but interested and give them another number to call me back. Then I give them the State Attorney Generals office of criminal prosecutors phone number. I have never had anyone call me back after that.
