I got a robocall from this number, and they left voicemail that was nothing more than a robotic voice stating my name.
I /do/ live in Texas, but our insurance is with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois. Obviously they hand-off local stuff to the nearest office in some cases, and not others. There is not a BCBS office in every state, so you can be signed up across state lines, and these calls will also cross state lines. BCBS is constantly hounding me for signing up with some advocate, some educational service, or some other thing. They visit our office
I am on the 'do not call list'. Why am I getting calls with hand ups. These must be auto dialers without real people on the other end. If you ever pick up, they know when you're home. If they were legitimate they would leave a message detailing the reason for calling. I have my voice message set to pick up on about the 10th ring. Maybe I should change it to 20. At least it would tie up their system so it doesn't bother anybody else.
I just got a call from this number but I didn't answer it. I may be able to provide some insight though. I work in Alabama for a company based in Missouri and my insurance is BCBS of Texas. I know. Makes a lot of sense right? But this might answer your question since I've never lived in Texas either. I'm going to take a guess and say your step-son probably has or has had insurance with BCBS of Texas at some point in his life.
This might also explain how they get around the do not call list since technically they are calling their customers.
Missed a call from this number. The voicemail said "Sorry, we are experiencing high call volumes at this time. Please try your call back with us later."
Really suspicious considering that THEY called ME? *Block*
