I got a robocall from this number, and they left voicemail that was nothing more than a robotic voice stating my name.
I /do/ live in Texas, but our insurance is with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois. Obviously they hand-off local stuff to the nearest office in some cases, and not others. There is not a BCBS office in every state, so you can be signed up across state lines, and these calls will also cross state lines. BCBS is constantly hounding me for signing up with some advocate, some educational service, or some other thing. They visit our office
I've gotten calls from this number several times, but when I answer, there's nobody there... and like others, when I call back, I get a fast busy signal.
This is legit. I got the call shortly after receiving a letter from BCBS NM about some sort of program they offer and received this call as a follow-up. Just because the call originates in Texas doesn't mean it's limited to BCBS TX customers, it's most likely their regional call center. However, since BCBS is a bunch of money-hungry, [***]-hats and are leaving our state exchange because they were denied an insanely huge and completely unfair rate increase in New Mexico, I have no use for their program.
