Called and asked for owner by first name. Told me it was a business matter. Told me I could not help them as they could not disclose business information. Telemarketer!
Got a call from Roxanne with Century Equipment needing to speak with "___ " & /or "____." Former owners. Advised they no longer owned the company. She asked to speak with present owner, advised out of office. Asked for his name, then advised her that ownership of a business is public record and to look it up. Abruply hung up. If telemarketers are going to harass business owners at least do your homework first.
I got a call from this company today. It came up on caller ID as 972-850-7999 and the caller was "Rosie". After asking her outright if it was a marketing call, she told me no and said it was a "sensitive matter" that she could only talk to the business owner about. She did have my company's owner/president's name. I told her if she couldn't tell me the nature of the call, she would not be talking to him. She rudely hung up.
Aggravated, I called back and told them to remove my number IMMEDIATELY from their database. They asked if I was the owner and I said yes, but they didn't ask my name. lol Weird. Anyway, I told them if I received any further calls from them, I would be filing a complaint with the FTC.
Also, please do not confuse this idiot company with a decent reputable company called Century Corporation in Alabama that does Data Management, storage and imaging. I even called THEM after some research and the lady there said she's gotten a call before complaining about telemarketing calls. The telemarketing calls are NOT coming from Century Corp in Alabama!
Jennifer w/Sentry (I got her to spell the company name). She said she had a sensitive business matter that she could only discuss w/the company owner or CEO. When I said, "You have a sensitive business matter that you can only discuss w/the company owner or CEO, but you don't know that person's name?" then she said she would call him back at a later time. Total scam.
This company just called and asked for the owner. He did not know the owner's name. When told she was out of the office and it wasn't known when she would we return, he was bold enough to ask for her cell phone number. Really???? This company needs to be stopped!
Got a call from "Allan with Century Inc". Insisted he speak with my boss. Knew my boss's name. He wouldn't tell me the nature of the call so I said "thank you, goodbye".
