Received a call from "Merchant Services" (1-972-852-0898) saying they needed to correct an over billing on our account. She asked me to pull a monthly statement from the previous month and divide the total charges and fees by the total sales. After telling her the percentage I got, she said she needed me to fax her a copy of the statement addressed to her attention (Barbara Ray) at 1-855-924-2774 (Fax) I asked why she needed that, if she works for our processor she should have it. She hung up. I realized this couldn't be legitimate and immediately put the number into google. Be very careful and don't give account information out to anyone!
I received a call from Lance at "Merchant Services. Same phone number. If you try to call the number, it is not in service. What happened to Heather on 061316 happened to us as well. They kept calling to see if we wanted to change our credit card processor and then faxed an agreement. I looked at it compared to our old agreement. Scam. Total fraud. Do not send them anything.
