Heavy Indian accent. I couldn't understand anything. At first I heard "law suit" so I told her she had the wrong number. She repeated my cell # back to me (making me very confused and pissed at the same time). I told her I didn't understand her and to put someone else on the call, then I heard "you signed up for the contest at the mall" and I never do this type of thing. Hung up on her and blocked the call. For the record, I'm on the Do Not Call registry and unless the caller is in the US, they need not abide by this. This caller may have a Dallas, TX landline, but she is no where near Dallas I assure you. Do Not Call is a joke, as are the "reporting agencies" for harassing phone calls. Trust me---be thankful you can block these calls directly from your cell.
Indian accent with very poor call quality asked me if i remembered filling out a survey for a free trip at the mall or grocery store. I said "No, so i think you are a scam." and they immediately hung up. Dont give any information to them.
Got a call on my cell phone from 972-994-6834. Man with a thick Indian accent said I won "free airline" tickets from a contest I entered. I do not remember entering a contest, so I said, "I was not interested and hung up." The phone quality was very poor, so it was difficult to listen to him. I would not trust this guy.
Also wanted to point out that this has come on the heals of finding Malware on my computer. It's likely these scammers pulled the data from my computer. Ouch!!
received call from 972-994-6834 very heavy Indian accent said I filled out contest entry form while shopping at Christmas - since I go no where near malls and stores during that time and do not fill out those type of things I knew is was a scam. Was temped to hand my phone to my Indian co-worker and let her talk to him :)
