This HAS to be a scam. I do NOT have Verizon, and got a call from that number. Newark. Did not answer. They no message. It is so simple folks. If you don't know the number ... DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE. If it's legit, or someone you really know .. they will leave a message.
I truly believe this is a scam!!! They have been calling from several numbers (including this one) attempting to reach Jose Vanezuala about an urgent service change. When I asked how the phone company could have my phone number associated with an incorrect name I was told that when people get a new number it can take up to a year for the information to be updated in the Verizon database, well I've had this number for over 16 years so they probably should have figured that out by now. Same problem. Calls state they are Verizon and ask if I am Ida -----. They then offer choices one of which is press #1 if you are not Ida ------. Have been receiving phone calls from bill collector for this person for three years now, they do not quit. I called back and told them I know they are bill collectors and to stop calling my number, they denied they were bill collectors and I requested the supervison. They put a suprvisor on supposedly and when I asked questions and confiration of some sort
they hung up.
