Received and call from a Montana Phone Number stating I needed to call 978 856 8289. Claims were made of sending registered mail I didn't pickup. I haven't received any thing along those lines. Blocking numbers no contact names were left in the message including a company name.
Recieved call from 406-577-8166. I do not answer when I don't recognize the number so it went to voice mail. They did not identify themselves or the company. Told me or legal representative to call the 978 #, that there are changes being made to my account and they had tried to reach me by certified mail and have not recieved a signature, that this is now a "time sensitive matter". I googled the number and was lead here. I thank you all for your responses! Saved me from panicking, calling back, and dealing with this scum!
Message stating changes to account made, numerous attempts to contact per mail. Contact 978-856-8289. Did not call back. They produced no identifying information in voicemail.
I received a call from a 978-856-8289 that left a VM stating that they had to tried summoning me to appear in court. They freaked the hell out of me by saying I had committed fraud and I was found guilty by the amount of evidence they had. Now, I was so scared that later I realized they had my old married last name and the last 4 of my social. They also had a wrong employer. They told me that they were going to send a letter to my current employer so they could start taking money out of my check unless I paid the suit against me, that's when I kinda snapped and asked the lady for their Attorney's information because I needed my Attorney to contact them. She started getting agitated and said it didn't work that way, I had been found guilty and that was that. NO ONE who is truly suing you can deny you their Attorney's information, so when I mention Attorney's she told me I was too agitated and she would have to call me back. I immediately called my bank "the one supposedly suing me" and explained the situation, they told me that as long as I had not given them my account number I was ok, but if I wanted extra security to contact the Credit Bureau and ask them for a Credit freeze so no one can open anything on my behalf. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION NO MATTER HOW SCARED YOU ARE! Do not correct any incorrect information they already have and ask for their Attorney's information.
They left a message saying to call back (or have my legal rep call) regarding a certified letter that they've attempted to send me. I've never received a letter or note indicating that an attempt had been made. I get calls like this often because someone with my same name as creditors after them. I called the number back and sure enough, they were looking for someone else with the same name.
