Definitely scam. As with others, told me in his thick Indian accent that he was with the Windows Department, Technical Department, etc and that my computer was reporting critical errors. I said I would report them to the AG. He challenged my assertion it was scam and I played along with him sending me to his manager: "This is Manager, Alexander the Great." I asserted it was still fraud and then he said that he would revoke my operating system so it would crash in a few days. He hung up on me.
I had some north Indian sounding man call me, he'd told me to go to my computer and to search up crap about "errors" I've had on my computer. (I've checked off on almost all of these "errors" and they're working parts of the computer). he told me to go to the website iNextsupport.com and to remotely connect to their server so that they could pull out said errors. upon asking why Microsoft would have a completely separate company to help with windows, they promply responded with "we are not a part of Microsoft' 'but we're technical advisers for the Windows product" after pushing me to remote connect they connected my phone to some guy named "Andy" in which i again asked why the hell Microsoft would have a completely separate company...fast forward...i asked him to present me with facts, he said "Sir, as you can see on the website, there is our 1800 number that you may call if you have problems, and scammers cannot get a 1-800 number without showing credentials....and after seeing these posts, when they call back in 5 minutes, as andy said he would, i will say i've fixed the problem myself and that their services are no longer required.
