Just received a call from this number stating that she was calling from Microsoft and that there is a problem with my computer. Definitely an Asian (Chinese or Japanese). She certainly did not convince me.
Caller from 985-778-4834 definitely Indian. Said he was technical support for Windows and "they' had received information that my computer detected problems and reported the problems to them. I asked why Windows just didn't email me (which they wouldn't anyway). He said that would harm my computer even more with a virus or something. Then I asked why Windows wouldn't just fix it. No intelligible answer. Told him I would check them out online and he could call me back tomorrow. Wanted to call back in 10 minutes. Hope I don't hear from them at all.
Just received call from this number. Caller ID said Kristin Young. Since I'm a business, I answered and got a man with thick Indian accent who said he was calling about my computer. I asked him if I had requested a call about my computer and he went on to say they are getting error messages on my server. I told him "NO!" and hung up. Will be blocking and reporting.
