I received a call from this number, but did not answer. A subsequent check from a different phone indicated that the number has been disconnected and is no longer in service. This is obviously a spoof number.
calling perpetually on my cell phone. Have told them to take me off their list and never call again and that I have turned them in to complaints. " they want to tell
Me about my windows computer. " Indian accent. Very hard to understand their English .
Delete any software you installed to allow them access. Usually called "remote access" or other such name. Requires some form of Remote Access software they ask you to download from a link. Also delete the executable file downloade to install the program.
Install Kaspersky antivirus software to eliminate online or messaging threats also. NEVER allow remote access nor open unfamiliar messages.
If some India accent person calls you about errors they are receiving from your computer. Ask them for the company name, a call back number, and an address. Try to get a name also. You can get this info by pretending that you are interested but want to call them back and would like the company name and info..I have it by same method. Then file a complaint with the FCC.. Just google FCC complaints. I submitted one today. You can also search for similar complaints if you need assistance formulating your complaint. Also google the number to see where the call is coming from. Also it will tell you the phone company they are using. Submit a complaint to that company regarding that number performing unsolicited calls to your number(s).
Love the air horn idea!! I am buying one today. I asked them which server log did my errors cross through. Idiots couldn't even answer. They are not with any Internet Service Provider and our data does not hop through any computer/server they own. They are not affiliated with Microsoft in any way. I can't believe they would get aggressive enough to make threats. Are you kidding? Yes they are indeed scammers but blatent threats over the phone are a Federal offense. Turn them in to FCC!!! I did.
Do not believe info they give you as they can falsely direct you to a fake site to try to verify them. Scammers get pretty elaborate once they scam enough money out of people.
Called me three times from 989-343-6725 and did not answer any of the calls. Three days ago received a notice on my MacBook that I had a virus and not to shut down my computer until I called a number listed. I did not call and shut down immediately. Wonder if these two are connected?
