Who called from 2034418454

The caller came from Connecticut, claiming that he is from Priceline to verify if I authorized the use of my credit card to book hotel reservations.  Although I said no and canceled my credit card instantly, they had managed to make a charge of $1 and a charge of almost $600. Online information indicates that this number is from Teleport Communications Gro., Waterbury, Connecticut.

I have received a dozen calls from a variety of numbers close to my number from Priceline offering me deals. When I call back the numbers belong to other legitimate folk. How can they fake such numbers? And why would a legitimate company do that?

I received this phone number to call in response to my concern over a fradulent reservation from Priceline.  I am attaching their message to me.

Thanks for these posts. We just received a call from this number, which is obviously a phishing call. They are looking for credit card information. On our call, the caller claimed to be processing a hotel reservation in Hollywood.

Dudes. In these responses i was able to find that the second email sent by the agent shinse is a genuine one since he is friend of mine and he worked in priceline. They are from Fraud Prevention Team in priceline and they call the customers to verify that if the charge has been truely authorized by the sole owner of that card.
