I got a call from this number and it IS Priceline. Someone did use my credit card number and charged $303 to my card. I didn't think it was valid until I checked my credit card on-line and saw the transaction. I think the Priceline transaction was a test and they thought it went through and then used my number the next morning to try to charge $1500 on-line to another merchant. Luckily I had already alerted my credit card company and they refused the charges. Do not ignore!
Received a similar call as others. Already called twice, and as I type this they are calling a 3rd time. Voice messages each time were from a man named "Jamie" with a thick Indian accent claiming to be from Priceline. The message claims to be verifying a hotel reservation I made and is requesting I call back urgently. They provide a reference number, 10052269266 to help them "locate my reservation quickly". I have not, and will not, attempt to call them back.
The call is legitimate the same thing happened to me so I called Priceline customer service directly off the 800 number on their website to follow up and they did verify that it was in fact the fraud team that contacted me.
The call is legitimate. I made a large ticket purchase, and priceline called me to verify that I actually made the purchase. Unfortunately, it is very hard to understand the accent.
THE CALL IS VERY MUCH LEGITIMATE!! I got 3 phone calls and one left a message saying they were from priceline and needed to verify the charges for airline flights. Thinking this is a scam checked online and sure enough they had somehow got my number and tried to book 3 flights. If you get this call check your credit card NOW before its to late. By the way my first ever post and hope it helps others
