I got a call from this number and it IS Priceline. Someone did use my credit card number and charged $303 to my card. I didn't think it was valid until I checked my credit card on-line and saw the transaction. I think the Priceline transaction was a test and they thought it went through and then used my number the next morning to try to charge $1500 on-line to another merchant. Luckily I had already alerted my credit card company and they refused the charges. Do not ignore!

3 calls in the middle of the night. I don't buy the legit call explanation as we never use our home phone number on anything. Besides the fraud number is 1-877-477-5807
I had booked a flight at 8pm in the evening on Priceline. After 1am I received a voicemail from a male with an accent asking me to call 203-441-8454 as he needed to verify that I had made the booking with Priceline. He stated the name of the passenger I booked for and also provided my booking number as the file reference number.
I called Priceline at their toll free number 1-877-477-5807 and asked that they confirm the call was from their fraud department and they confirmed it was. I then asked that they update my file to confirm the purchase as verified so that I would not need to make a long distance call to their fraud department.
It's not a scam caller; they are trying to prevent fraud if you haven't made a booking and trying to verify a booking so that they may complete a reservation. Just sucks that they call at terrible hours as they are probably contracted from overseas. Moreover, it sucks that they don't offer a toll-free number. Keep it simple and just call Priceline.
Ok, so you received a call and then confirmed that it was Priceline. So, why did you feel it was necessary to look up the number after confirming the call? What point was there to search a number you already knew was genuine (well at least it is according to you)?
