I got a call from this number and it IS Priceline. Someone did use my credit card number and charged $303 to my card. I didn't think it was valid until I checked my credit card on-line and saw the transaction. I think the Priceline transaction was a test and they thought it went through and then used my number the next morning to try to charge $1500 on-line to another merchant. Luckily I had already alerted my credit card company and they refused the charges. Do not ignore!
I received a call from 203-441-8454 from a gentleman with a strong Indian accent; he said he was with Priceline and wanted to verify a hotel reservation on my card and asked me to call him back; I did so, but only get a mailbox, no person. ????
If you get a call from this number, check your credit card statement immediately!!!
I received a call from 203-441-8454. The gentleman said he was from priceline.com and there was a reservation made with my credit card ending in XXXX. He said that the name on the reservation did not match the name on the credit card so they wanted to let me know that my credit card was compromised. I was very suspicious, but decided to check further. When I called my credit card company, there was over $1000 worth of charges that I did not make, including the one to priceline. Priceline saved me a bunch of headaches. Someone had stolen my credit card number and security code, and used it to make a bunch of online or telephone charges.
Got a message on my cell phone with from Priceline.com Fraud Prevention Department. He left an 11 digit number to reference when I call back. It was the same guy to answer that left the message. He told me that someone named Erica Blah-blah had booked with them on my card... and asked if I knew her. He gave me the last four numbers on the card but I don't have one that matches that. Wouldn't the credit card company look into something like this before a merchant????
