I got a call from this number and it IS Priceline. Someone did use my credit card number and charged $303 to my card. I didn't think it was valid until I checked my credit card on-line and saw the transaction. I think the Priceline transaction was a test and they thought it went through and then used my number the next morning to try to charge $1500 on-line to another merchant. Luckily I had already alerted my credit card company and they refused the charges. Do not ignore!
This number called me i googled it and saw all the reviews saying its a scam. i called priceline to see if this was the real number for their fraud department. YES it is a real number you can call priceline to verify. i booked the hotel reservation in my name and used my husbands credit card and that is why this number called
IVoicemail received on Oct 29 @ 8:15PM on iphone Below is a transcript of the voice mail I received. When I call the number, no one answers, it just makes funny noises. I used an American Express to book hotel room on Priceline earlier in the same day. I reviewed my AmEx account online and took photo of recent activity there are several $1 charges and one add'l charge for the exact amount of my reservation. This has never happened. Will call credit card company to advise of the exact amount of authorized charge.

I also received a call from this number. It's legitimate. It's the fraud department at Priceline. They don't act very professionally so it's really hard to know if they are telling the truth or not, but they are! If you receive this call, follow up ASAP. I did an online chat with Priceline and then had to call to cancel my credit card immediately after.
I found out that this was a legitimate call! My credit card company, ll bean called me this AM to report the same thing that Priceline did, so the charge and the card have been cancelled. I complained to Priceline saying I thought this was a fraudulent call; I explained to Priceline when they contacted me by email that because no 800 number was involved, it seemed phony. Also, I could not understand the heavy accent very well. I explained to the person at Priceline that we get so many fraud calls from people with heavy accents that we are automatically suspicious; I apologized for that knee jerk reaction! I also suggested they change their system in some fashion; they should have an 800 fraud phone number.
I got three calls from this number last night, all after midnight (one at 3 am). I did not answer them, because, who calls at that time? Well, it turns out that they were from Priceline. They wanted to verify a plane ticket purchase that I had made the day before. I found this out when I received an email from Priceline saying that my reservation had been cancelled and called to ask why. Talked to a guy with a thick Indian accent, who said that they had been trying to reach me to confirm the purchase was authentic; since I hadn't answered, they cancelled. It was all legit, but I did tell them that calling customers after midnight from dubious numbers and asking for credit card confirmation through voicemail is highly suspicious in this country. They really need to change their system.
