Got the same call three days in a row. Same Card Member Services as Mel described. I pressed "1" to talk to someone with the intent of talking to someone to have my number removed from their calling list, as I have requested every time they have called in the past. When I got someone on the phone they asked if I was interested in lowering my credit card rates and I told them, "No, I want to speak to your supervisor." The person said "Ok, thank you" and hung up.
It's a credit card consolidation company that gives me a prerecorded message stating they've tried to reach me numerous times and this will be the last time they call me. I wish that part were true... I must have at least $3000 total combined credit card debt and at least one account in good standing. Press 1 to speak to a rep. I press 1 n tell them I'm on the do not call registry and I want them to remove me from their list. They hang up everytime at that point. I call back the number and I get a message saying the voicemail box of this customer hasn't been set up yet, goodbye.
At least they are consistent! Identical situation when they call me. And they call me every month like clockwork. does the registry not do anything to stop companies?
Same as Hobbica. Funny they hung up when I requested the company name and address because I would be filing under small claims court for $500 for their violation of the DO NOT CALL list.
