I received this call on the caller is it says pay phone 2173989544.. I of course let it go to voicemail.. Then a message is left call the IRS it does not state the name of whom they're looking for...so I called 2062012593 left in message.. Some guy asks for my name and number then states the IRS is filing a law suit for taxes not filed/paid from 2008-2012. Now we all know that if this were true I would have been notified by mail which I stated to him. Here's the kicker I HAVE NOT WORKED SINCE 2004!!!!! of course when I told him that he hung up...IRS scams
I just got an automated call from 630 690 2396 on my cell and the computer recording stated I am being sued by the IRS and to call 206 201 2593. Of course I did not call that number, Googled it though and ended up here.
Thanks for all for posting the info on this SCAM. I will block the number on my iPhone...but sure they will try from another number once they release they've been blocked.
Received a call from New York 607-722-9665 at 7am this morning. Same recorded message as those above. I'm to call 206-201-2593 because of a pending law suit by the IRS. Did not response. Terrible scam.
Received an automated voice mail on my answering machine from 206-201-2593. Said I was being sued by IRS. My name nor a case number were given. When I called back, a man with a very strong accent answered. I told him who I was, that I had gotten a call from them and wanted to know what was going on. He hung up.
Take it from me, this is NOT a legitimate suit... I am an attorney.
You may want to check you phone bill to ensure that by calling you did not incur some long-distance charge or other such embedded charge by returning the call.
IRS Scam. Like the others I got an automated call today from 206-201-2593 that also said the IRS was filing a law suit against me. I called 206-201-2593 and person asked if I knew about this and I said no and he hung up. He said his name was Jack Gentz?? not sure on last name.
