I received this call on the caller is it says pay phone 2173989544.. I of course let it go to voicemail.. Then a message is left call the IRS it does not state the name of whom they're looking for...so I called 2062012593 left in message.. Some guy asks for my name and number then states the IRS is filing a law suit for taxes not filed/paid from 2008-2012. Now we all know that if this were true I would have been notified by mail which I stated to him. Here's the kicker I HAVE NOT WORKED SINCE 2004!!!!! of course when I told him that he hung up...IRS scams
We just got a call from 206-201-2593. We also got the message of a final notice of a lawsuit by the IRS being filed against us. We were immediately suspicious due to the choppy poor nature of the message. I immediately went to my computer and typed in the phone number and came up with this site. We will be deleting and ignoring the message.
I also received same message referenced by all of the previous reports. We're all in agreement, it's a scam. Besides, the IRS is presently under too much scrutiny for its own shady dealings, and really needs to clean its own house before attempting something like this. I believe that I just heard the Congressional investigation might just shift to the DOJ. I'm sure they're really "shaking in their boots" now. NOT!!
But I digress. If you'd like to reply in defense of the IRS and the DOJ, that's fine, but I'm done with this and will not be returning to this site. Just wait until the government starts regulating the internet. That'll fix everything!
received a pre-recorded automated call of a woman's voice saying IRS was going to process a lawsuit against me. last chance. Call 206-201-2593 (a working number). I keep getting this same call with same message. Report it to treasury.gov! If you call back and remain silent, they don't talk and hang up.
"Hello this call is officially final notice from IRS Internal Revenue Service. The reason of this call is to inform you that IRS is filing a lawsuit against you to get more information about this case file. Please call immediately on our department number 206-201-2593. I repeat 206-201-2593. Thank you."
This number is in Washington but originated from (716) 886-9358 in Buffalo, NY.
