I do NOT have a debt with BOA but rather with Wachovia/Wells Fargo.I do have a checking account with BOA but nothing is owed to them by me. Is htere any connection?
collection agency on credit cards. Why don't we all just stop paying on all of our credit cards at the same time. Wouldn't that really stop all of this nonsense with your credit score and talk about putting these [***] credit card companies into trouble....
My wife got a call from 320-457-8827. The woman on the phone said that this was not in reference to her but if she could contact a certain unamed person they could resolve thier debt and sign some papers. She said she just needed some information from my wife for someone debt who does not concern us at all. I beleive under Mass state law that this is illegal...I went through this with collect Corp she said she represented Bank of America. This woman called for 7 days straight and left threatening messages.Garnish my wages, contact my employer, etc. As i already told her this debt was not mine but so i contacted Bank of america with which i am a very good customer and asked them if they had any outstanding issues with my credit. The BOA rep assured me that they did not I told them i was being wrongfully harrased and filed a complaint against Collect corp. I alos conatc ed the Mass Division of Banks and filed a complaint as i found this [***] broke four laws with regards to collections. Bottom line is this. The useless government employee who handled my case contacted Collect corp. The [***] who harrased the crap out of me knowing it was not my debt lied and said she only called once and apologized. I told the useless state goverment worker that i had six recorded threatening messages and that no apologies was issued to me for this harrassment and that I would like to follow through on this complaint.She told me there wa nothing she could do and that I should let it go!! Moral of the story is that these collectors have free reign to do whatever they want..good luck
