You may in fact have an account under a different name that is owned by Bank of America. I used to work for them in their credit card division. (And yes I owe them money too) The debt they say you owe could be under the name of a number of different companies that Bank of Americas credit card company also known as "Card Services" has actually always owned such as Bass pro shops, AAA, Virgin Atlantic, Mercedes Benz, and various Credit Unions. It would be in your best interest to call them just to find out what they say you owe. If in fact it is not your debt you can at least let them know that, otherwise it could really screw up your credit.

Received a call from this number looking for some other person by the name of Mary Estrella.  I'm assuming this Mary gave bad account info. trying to get something for nothing.

I understand I owe Bank of America money. (A very small amount of money by the way) In any case, I tell them continually that I lost my job and am unable to afford to pay them anything as I can barely afford to feed myself. They are usually nice, but I wish they would understand that I don't want them calling me anymore than they want to call me every month. I will pay them as soon as I can afford to do so. Not everyone is a scumbag trying to avoid paying their debts. Some people were adversely affected by the economy and unable to pay no matter how much they wish they could.

By the way, this number is not fraud. It is in fact Bank of America, and I actually used to work for them in their credit card division. If you tell them the situation they can in fact sometimes work something out.

Called looking for someone named Garrett?  She said her name was Andrea Taylor but never said she was from BofA.  She said she was from SSA, or something like that.
