Received a recorded "notice" that the factory warranty on my vehicle "may" be expired, and it's not too late to respond now. We receive these daily, and every time it says "this is the final call before we close your file". Every time I press 2 to be remove to no avail.
They keep calling me every week or two, I have talked to a rep and told them to take me off, registered on the do not call list twice, and opted out of their service at least 3 times.
I filed a complaint with the FCC, I'm going to contact a lawyer next time and maybe get a mass effort to shut these [***] down.
I am getting the same calls... In total about 16 calls so far! This week alone 4 times. Pressing 2 does nothing... Talking to them also accomplished nothing! Used profanity, and the scammer said "sir you just used profanity, and that won't get you off our call list" then hung up on me... On another occasion, I told them please stop calling me about this useless crap, and she assured me that a warranty was not useless, and hung up on me before I could say another word... This is a scam, any valid salesperson would state the name of their buisness and never hang up rudely the second they are pressed for this info...afterall they called me, not vice versa. Clearly they are aiming at stealing personal info and nothing more. The question now is how to stop this! I am selfemployed and my cell is my primary contact, everytime this happens I am wasting time and money.
We have over 11 phone lines here and we get this recorded phone call at least once every other day. I pressed 1 today and got a guy on the phone and I said I wasn't sure who the call was actually for since we have over 60 employees. He said "we'll take you off the list" and hung up. I suspect this company just calls every phone number in the US. The first question they say is what is the year make and model of your vehicle. Well how silly do they think you are? If they knew the factory warranty was about to expire they would know what kind of car it was, wouldn't they? Silly silly silly. We even get angry calls from our customers here who want to know why they're getting this sales call when they are sure the extended warranty they bought here is still in effect. Even the F&I manager here (whose job it is to sell extended warranties) got this call when he was at home. Anyway, it's a really dumb sales tactic aimed at playing a numbers game. If they call enough people with the same dumb line, chances are they will find enough stupid people to sell a warranty to. Only stupid people would believe this telemarketing anyway. Come on. Telling me the warranty is almost expired but then asking me what the year make and model of my car is? RED FLAG. haha. Whatever...

I've been getting occasional voicemails to my WORK ONLY phone (that I don't give out to anyone outside the company!) saying:
About a "factory warranty" expiring "for your vehicle" (I DON'T OWN A CAR).
They keep claiming it's the 2nd notice & they won't call back.
I can press 1 to talk to someone about it & press 2 to be removed.
This time I picked up the phone when they called at about 11:35amPST 7/15/08 .
My caller id only showed "outside call".
I pressed 1 to actually talk to someone.
It was answered "Warranty Division". I asked the guy "warranty division for who". "We work for a lot of different companies".
"Can you tell me who gave you my number? Why you're calling someone without a car??"
He steadfastly refused to give out ANY identifiable information. He's said he's just at a 'relay station' that got my call.
Finally, the best I could do was to ask him to remove my phone # (which got forwarded to him he didn't even need me to tell him) and to convey how pissed off I was to anyone who would listen.
I googled the key words of the phone message and got this website.
I'd love to lodge a complaint if anyone has more information on these people.
