Got a call from this number. Said my computer was sending error messages to their router. Heck my laptop is registered to my home, and they called me at work. Sounds suspicious to me. I told him that I had to leave the office and that my computer was already shutdown. Guessing he will call back later.
Received a call from this number tonight. The man could barely speak English, but said that he was with Microsoft and there was a problem with my computer. I hung up on him.
what a scumbag - tried it on my wife, she told him to get stuffed. Obviously the telcos want the income from the scammers more than they want the goodwill of the bill-paying public
I just got one of these calls.....I told him I couldn't hear him well which was true....I think he said he was from an online service of some sort. Earlier I had a call from a different number, also a scam, but I wasn't home to answer it. A couple of times this week I got calls from the cardmember service offering to lower my interest rate.They hang up when I try to talk to them and I cannot make them stop. There must be a way, but does anyone know what it is.
Guy (with bad English) called claimed to be from Microsoft said they had received a message from my computer that it had viruses & spyware -
