Got a call from this number. Said my computer was sending error messages to their router. Heck my laptop is registered to my home, and they called me at work. Sounds suspicious to me. I told him that I had to leave the office and that my computer was already shutdown. Guessing he will call back later.
Same story... Man with poor English with heavy Indian/Pakistani accent claiming to be from the "Computer technical department" called to tell me my Windows system was about to crash and that he could fix it remotely. I asked him what version of Windows I'm running and what the IP address is. Silence. I then told him I had noted his number and that if he called again I would take action. He hung up immediately. I waited a few minutes and called the number back...and surpringly he answered. I told him I wanted to make sure he undedstood I was not joking about going after him if he called again. He again hung up immediately. Scammers...I wish there was an easy way to eradicate this vermine.
They just called my house on the West Coast in Canada. They had already called and I hadn't answered...about a month ago I guess. Indian Lady, trying to tell me there is an issue with my Windows. I told her where to stick it.
Yep just got the call as well, same deal as most of you though it was definitely a VoIP call of sorts because it was breaking up the same way a Skype call does with low bandwidth.
I could barely make out what the guy was saying but he was getting agitated that I couldn't hear him properly, then I make the words "have you got a computer", to which I responded "yes, why?" and which point the line was so bad he gave up, said good bye and hung up.
