A man with a heavy Asian accent called saying that his name was Peter Brown (yea right) from Microsoft- saying that I had many errors on my pc and this had been picked up in NY, although I live in England. He said he wanted me to press ctrl and the windows sign -- and asked me to put a code in my computer to reveal how many errors messages I had. Then he told me that my pc was due to crash and he was going to transfer me to the pc technicians....and I was to pay some money to get it fixed. I told him I did not have any money and asked that he give me his phone number...he gave me 171 -859 34198 - and then I questioned him about NY as I know it very well. Asking him what part he was from, he said he did not know the area and left the call and came back to me saying Park Avenue. I questioned him more...how did he get to work today...did he take the A train,the M train, the J train - he could not answer me...he began to stumble in his explanation...I said goodbye. None of it sounded sincere, and why does someone in NY care if someone's pc in England is not working....I did not call Microsoft....pleassssssse.......

Same stroy as above... They are still at it.... The calls are probably patched through from Asia, I could hear a big call center in the background. Kind of interesting. I feel bad for the folks out there that fall prey to their request to hook their computer up with theirs. Don't Do It!! Keep your antivirus stuff up to date, don't let it lapse. But even if you have strong antivirus, once they are hooked up, even that won't help you.

My wife just called me from home with the same story.  "Daniel" from "Microsoft" has discovered a virus on our home computer.  RIGHT!!.  Like Microsoft is going to call us personally to help us out.  Actually, I think that's Bill G. pulling into the driveway right now.  It's time our regulators step up and prosecute these people.  We have better things to do, like save the world.

Just got off the phone with a Roy Williams.  I asked him how he got my number and he said an INternet Automated Dialer.  One time payment and that the PC Technicians would help me out and to call any time I needed to.  SOunded like he was Asian or Indian.  When I kept asking him for the number to call him back, he told me that I was getting "all crazy for the phone number"  Explained to him that my boyfriend was in control of the finances and I don't have a credit card or checking account, he told me that when I call to ask to speak to only Roy.

I RECEIVED PHONE CALL FROM A MAN WITH A HEAVY INDIAN ACCENT, HE SAID HIS NICKNAME WAS ALEX I ASKED HIM HIS REAL NAME , TOO BAD I DID NOT ASK FOR HIS LAST NAME. I GOT HIS INDIAN NAME(AJIT) . HE SAID HE WORKED WITH MICROSOFT AND MY WARRRANTY ON MY PC FOR MICROSOFT PROGRAMS WERE EXPIRED. HE ALSO SAID THAT MY SYSTEM APPLICATIONS AND HARD DRIVE HAD A LOT OF MALWARE/ MALICIOUS UNWANTED SOFTWARE WARNINGS AND ERRORS, I CHECK MY COMPUTER AND IT WAS TRUE WHAT HE SAID AND HE SAID HE WILL REMOVE THESE PROBLEMS FOR A LIFETIME PRICE OF $399.00. NOW I AM A SINGLE DAD AND I HAVE AN EPILEPTIC SON, WHO IS IN HIS MID 20'S, AND I HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF HIM 24HRS A DAY 7 DAYS A WEEK. I SHOULD HAVE LISTENED TO MY SON. I TAKE CARE OF MY SON AND I WORK FROM HOME, AND BECAUSE I DO NOT HAVE THE TIME TO FIX THE SAME COMPUTER ERRORS AND FIX MY CLEAN MY HARD DRIVE. I GOT TAKEN, HOWEVER I IMMEDIATELY REPORTED IT TO MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY AND HOPEFULLY AFTER 60 DAYS MAYBE THIS ERRONEOUS CHARGE WILL BE REMOVED FROM MY CREDIT CARD. THESE ARE FRAUDULENT PEOPLE. LATER ON THE SAME EVENING MY SON HAD A SEVERE ATTACK AND NOW HE IS IN A COMA AND I MAY HAVE CAUSED IT BECAUSE I DID NOT LISTEN TO HIM. AS A PARENT I KNOW THAT I AM NOT ALWAYS RIGHT. MY SON TODAY APRIL 27TH 2011 IS STILL IN A COMA, I AM PRAYING THAT HE WAKES UP SOON, IT HAS BEEN OVER 48HRS SINCE THIS HAPPENED, BECAUSE BEFORE THIS HAPPENED, HE SAID DAD THAT MONEY COULD BE USED IN THE FUTURE FOR MEDICINE OR THINGS WE REALLY NEED AS A FAMILY. I TRIED CALLING THESE PEOPLE BACK AND I TRIED FINDING THEM. NOW THEY DO NOT ANSWER THEIR PHONE NUMBER. BUT AS AN X MARINE I AM PERSONALLY GOING TO LOCATE THEM.. FAITHFUL ALWAYS, ALWAYS FAITHFUL
