Have received calls from this number on several occasion say that they are with Windows. THIS IS A SCAM. They try to gain remote access of your computer to hack your information. They tell you that they are getting error reports from your computer and need remote access to fix it. DON'T DO IT. Windows is a Microsoft product and; after a chat with Microsoft corporate; understand they Microsoft will NEVER INITIATE contact with you unless you specifically request contact. BLOCK THIS NUMBER! Also they have called back within minutes with a call that has no caller ID. It's the same demons.
Does not speak plain English, have called numerous times in a row even after I have said I will call the police &/or that I will report them!! Their claim is I have a problem w/my Windows computer, funny thing is I don't have Windows!!!!!!
Doubt that it's the NSA. The NSA gets a lot of blame for these scammers and rob-callers. The get or hack this info from "big data" computers. They are looking for easy money or persona or computer information to use to get easy money. The same caller pretends to be a debt collector and a pharmacists asking for personal info to get drugs or money. .
Guy from phone number 718-658-7748 relentlessly keeps calling my husband (who has stage 4 cancer). He has told him every time he calls not call him again. BLOCKING CALL WITH PHONE COMPANY IS ONLY WAY TO GET RID OF THOSE KIND OF SCUMS.
718 658 7748 called again one hour and a half later. I asked them who they were they said Microsoft and your computer has been sending illegal stealth messages when it is off. I said, "really if you know that what are these messages. They said I don't know. I said how do you know it's sending messages, the only messages it might be sending is "cookies" They said you got a problem if your computer is eating "cookies" are they chocolate? I said, "no they are bits" He said your computer eats "bits" they must be hard to chew you really need to have that computer fixed. I said, I have a local computer repairman that works on my computers; also my boys are also good at fixing computer. They said you can't take it to a repairman.; you will get arrested. I said, how can that be. They said that because there is child porn in it. I said how did it get there? They said, I don't know but you better not let anyone else look at it you better let me fix it. I said how come I can't access it? They said, because the porn is an encrypted ghost. I said this is insane, because if someone could hack child porn into someone's computer it would create such a legal disaster that it would paralyze the courts with appeals like Washington DC. I said, I will take my computer to my local repairman. Then I said, I think you might run for office-you might win. He said your computer will crash on Halloween night and hung up. Well I think I have My joke for Toastmasters. Humor is more fun than panic. . .
