Have received calls from this number on several occasion say that they are with Windows. THIS IS A SCAM. They try to gain remote access of your computer to hack your information. They tell you that they are getting error reports from your computer and need remote access to fix it. DON'T DO IT. Windows is a Microsoft product and; after a chat with Microsoft corporate; understand they Microsoft will NEVER INITIATE contact with you unless you specifically request contact. BLOCK THIS NUMBER! Also they have called back within minutes with a call that has no caller ID. It's the same demons.
I just got the same phone call, got one from a different location in NY different number same person asking the same thing he wanted remote access to my computer, immediately hung up . I blocked that one. Will be doing the same thing to this number. Weird thing is this........ I don't spend very much time on my lap top.. about 1 hour per week,,,, and both times, different times of the day,,,I was on my laptop.....coincidence? I sure hope so.
SCAM Said he was with Windows need to delete files Knew my name and email but when I ask for a return number he gave me a 800 which does not work. Said his name was Brain O Conner (guy was from India) called him back on the 718 number but he hung up on me when I asked for Brian O Conner.
This number keeps calling me out of New York. I answered it and it was an Indian man named 'Mark' telling me that my PC was sending errors to Microsoft Windows... he claimed to be an employee there and wanted to access my computer remotely. I told him I no longer have a home computer and haven't for months, he was baffled, didn't say anything and I hung up on him. I've been getting ALLOT of these Microsoft Windows support FAKE employee/number called and have reported them to Micro Soft on their webpage. I encourage you all to do the same.
This is scamming time. Everyday I receive either the Windows ir the Irs scam. Now, I don't respond to any number I don't know, even local ones. If pple leave a message, I will respond as needed.
