Telemarketers for Foundation American Veterans
by: Anonymous
Associated Community Services (ACS) is a telemarketing firm based in Southfield, Michigan which reportedly filed for bankruptcy & owes more than $15 million in unpaid taxes to the IRS and more than $1 million in unpaid state tax. ACS is owned & operated by Robert W. Burland, Jr. and Richard T. Cole.
ACS has been cited by the Michigan Atty General as being in violation of numerous laws and ACS retains up to 90% of funds received for telemarketing services on behalf numerous charities, including the Foundation for American Veterans. ACS badgers it’s victims repeatedly at all hours with high pressure tactics.
The owners are con artists and should be held account for their activities. I urge you to contact the owners and give them a dose of their own medicine. I’m sure they will be happy to hear from you at any time of the day.:-)
This number comes up as a Denver number and has been calling 2 to 4 times a day for awhile. Never answer at all but after reading about the scamming company it is never will! Have to add to the block list!!!
Foun Amer Vets- asked if I was ready for active duty, told him I've already done that. He thanked me for my service and then continued to talk over me. I told him that we donate already to Veteran's charities of our choice. He stated that he would put me down for $15, I repeatedly told him not to call me again. What a jerk.
Jeeze ! Take the time and effort to wade thru (all ) the links given above and then ask yourself .... why in the ( bleep ) is a company like ACS allowed to stay in business and more importantly why is any organization using their services other than to con the general public out of our hard earned cash for their pathetic little Patriotic themed scams ? What a Fall . First a scam coming from yet another blatant scam based telemarketing firm claiming to represent my local Police Forces benevolent society [ I called all the pertinent departments including city , county and State Patrol all denying they have any connection with the organization in question ] ... and now this bunch of low life low level grifters playing the Vet card to tug on our heart strings . Sickening if you ask me . And i know just who to thank . G.W. Bush and his pathetic nephew he put in charge of the FCC while in office is who opened the doors for this garbage ... and Obama for not doing a (bleep) thing since to put an end it .
Well ... at least I had a bit of fun at ACS's expense tonight . Twisted the conversation around holding the slime up on the line for over ten minutes ... and then letting loose with a tirade of explicative's letting him know just what I thought of him and the company he works for . Telling him to get a real job rather than playing at being a penny ante con artist for minimum wage .. the idiot thru out it all trying his best to interrupt me .
